BCM Olomouc wins the U15 tournament without hesitation

BCM Olomouc wins the U15 tournament without hesitation
The tournament had an unusual draw, thanks to which the teams joined the tournament gradually. The home team was initially challenged by the Polish team Górnik Airteam Walbrzych . Olomouc created a twenty-point lead in the first quarter and easily dominated the match. The second match between the Slovak team Slávia Trnava and AK Stal Ostrów Wielkopolski offered a dramatic course. Trnava led by a comfortable margin for three quarters, but Stal made an unprecedented turnaround in the last quarter and won by a margin of seven points. The first German team NINERS Chemnitz Academy participated in the third match of the day in a duel with the home team. Olomouc won by a significant margin. The last participant of the tournament Mitteldeutscher Basketball Academy also participated in the last match of Friday's program. They beat Trnava calmly, by a margin of more than twenty points.
Saturday offered two close games. The first was between MBA and Walbrzych. MBA still had a nine-point lead after the third quarter, only to lose by a single point in the final. The second game was played again by Walbrzych, and the opponent was Trnava, which entered the game actively, built a lead in the first quarter, which it gradually lost and eventually lost by a four-point difference. Walbrzych won the silver medals thanks to the victory in these two close games.
Sunday brought no major dramas and the medal favorites confirmed their position.

Zielona Góra won the U14 tournament in Litoměřice

Zielona Góra won the U14 tournament in Litoměřice
A tournament where anyone could beat anyone. The first round started with the home team and Mitteldeutscher Basketball Academy . The home team was hot and gained a solid lead in the first quarter. MBA improved its defense, but Litoměřice are still successful and winning. The second match offered a Polish derby between the teams BC Swiss Krono Žary and SKM Zastal Zielona Góra . This was the only match for Zastal where they won a comfortable win by a higher margin. The third match of the day offered a Czech and even regional derby between BK Opava and Academy NH Ostrava . Ostrava did not enter the match in a good mood and were pulling the short end of the rope throughout the first half. The half-time speech in the locker room was apparently emphatic, so a double-digit loss eventually turned into a nine-point win. In the afternoon block, Litoměřice hesitated with Žary, which ultimately cost them a medal. The final match of the day offered a real drama that was decided only by overtime. Zastal lost the entire first half slightly, only to put all their energy into the second half, but that was enough to "draw" with Opava after the regular playing time. Opava was shaken by Zastal's equalizer and eventually lost by a difference of 4 points.
All Saturday's matches ended with a difference of around ten points, so they were very even and several times the final score was decisive. The most talked about game was probably the match between Ostrava and Zastal, where the winning shot by Zastal with the final horn was the deciding factor. There was a lot of talk about the referees, whose decisions significantly affect the course of the match. Everyone should judge for themselves, for example by watching the matches on our YouTube channel.
Sunday offered another interesting match. Ostrava satisfied their appetite with a big win over Žary. Opava, which could almost have won over Zastal, chose a weaker moment and let MBA beat them, which had been improving its performance throughout the tournament. And the real highlight was the match between Litoměřice and Zastal, where the decision was made only in the second overtime. There is not much to say about such a match, it is better to watch it at least from the recording. In any case, Zastal could have played relaxed. Even a possible loss would not have knocked them out of first place in the tournament, but Litoměřice are playing for everything, as only a win will secure them the bronze medals. But in summary, a great atmosphere, great performances by both teams, great performances by individual players, euphoria and disappointment. It is truly a pleasure to be present at such a match.
Final tournament standings:
1. SKM Zastal Zielona Góra (Poland)
2. Academy NH Ostrava (Czech Republic)
3. BC Swiss Krono Žary (Poland)
4. Slavoj BK Litoměřice (Czech Republic)
5. Mitteldeutscher Basketball Academy (Germany)
6. BK Opava (Czech Republic)
The following players received individual awards:
MVP:
Kacper Radczyc ( SKM Zastal Zielona Góra )
All-star team:
Jakub Ostapiuk ( SKM Zastal Zielona Góra )
Karel Novák ( Academy NH Ostrava )
Filip Wilk ( BC Swiss Krono Žary )
Jan Mašek ( Slavoj BK Litoměřice )
Felipe Felgner Estrella ( Mitteldeutscher Basketball Academy )
Ondřej Gronský (BK Opava)

WKK Wroclaw wins the U14 tournament

WKK Wroclaw wins the U14 tournament
Friday's opening match of the tournament immediately offered a great duel between the home team and the Ukrainian SCC Ploskyriv . The Ukrainian team stayed within striking distance throughout the first half, the decisive one was the third quarter, where WKK gained a double-digit lead, which it maintained until the end of the match. The second match was started by Basketpoint Frýdek-Místek , which challenged the Polish team AK Stal Ostrów Wielkopolski . Basketpoint entered the match actively and held a strong lead until the third quarter, Stal made a great effort and called the game. In the dramatic ending, Basketpoint is happy with the win, by only two points. The last match of the first round was the duel between the German team Freak City Bamberg and BCM Olomouc . Olomouc dominated the first half, but gave up only 17 points in the second. On the contrary, Bamberg scored 37 of them and thanks to that they won easily. Bamberg played a major role in the match against the Polish Stal, where they "sweated" the victory by a single point.
Saturday was a quiet day, with the favorites guarding their positions, but that shouldn't happen at the Bamberg tournament. The German team wanted to play with Basketpoint this time. The latter took control of the game for three quarters, and in the end, they took control and defeated Bamberg by seven points.
Sunday brought no surprises and the favorites confirmed their medal ambitions. The tournament was made special by the visit of the Polish influencer "Zibi", who brought interesting experiences and a pleasant atmosphere to the players.

Warriors Děčín win the U15 home tournament

Warriors Děčín win the U15 home tournament
The first interesting thing about the tournament was the draw, which coincidentally consisted of three derbies - one Czech, one Polish and finally German. The tournament started with a match between the home team Děčín and Brandýs nad Labem. The warriors entered the match very actively, scoring thirty points in the first quarter and creating a double-digit lead. Brandýs matched the initial pressure and bravely caught up, but despite their great efforts, they lost by a difference of ten points. The Polish derby between SKM Zastal Zielona Góra and BC Swiss Krono Žary was clearly dominated by the latter team. The German derby also had a clear course, the Academy Potsdam team did not put up much resistance to the HAKRO Merlins Crailsheim team and lost by a large margin. The match was even with the duel between Brandýs and the magicians from Crailsheimu . Brandýs again had a bad start to the match, fought again and this time lost by a difference of five points, this loss cost Brandýs' team the bronze medal in the later calculations.
Saturday's program began with a duel between the home team and the magicians. This duel offered an interesting story, as one of the leaders of Děčín, Jan "Kopi" Kopecký, started in the CEYBL tournaments for the HAKRO Merlins Crailsheim team in the previous season. Now he started for his home team /originally a protégé of BK Teplice - also a CEYBL participant/ and did not spare his friends from Crailsheimu at all and burdened their account with thirty-five points. The match offered a total of 199 points, so the offensive potential of both teams was huge. The home team had the better aim and takes a comfortable win. A balanced match was played between Brandýs and Zastal, this time Brandýs overslept in the first quarter as usual, but then pressed on and took the win by a difference of eight points.
On Sunday, the magicians from Crailsheimu , who apparently worked their magic until late at night, enter the match with Zastal in a vague way. They lose the entire first half. At halftime, the coach apparently taught them the Imperio spell (a spell that forces your opponent to do whatever you tell them to do) - an explanation for "non-fans" of Harry Potter :-) and in the end, they confirm their bronze medal win by two points. The big win over Potsdam did not help Brandýs win the medals, but it certainly at least improved their mood for the trip home. The tournament ended with an imaginary final between Děčín and Žary. The warriors have had a slight lead since the beginning of the match, which Žary is trying to get closer to, but in the end they fail and Děčín wins the gold medals, while Žary is left with the silver medals.
The tournament also offered several interesting individual shooting performances. Three players surpass the hundred-point mark, which is an average of more than twenty points per game. Finally, back to "Kopim", who although he only played in two games, managed to average 32 points per game. Admirable performances from all in this category.
Final tournament standings:
1. Válečníci Děčín (Czech Republic)
2. BC Swiss Krono Žary (Poland)
3. HAKRO Merlins Crailsheim (Germany)
4. BK Brandýs nad Labem (Czech Republic)
5. SKM Zastal Zielona Góra (Poland)
6. Academy Potsdam (Germany)
The following players received individual awards:
MVP:
Adam Čech ( Válečníci Děčín )
All-star team:
Alan Więckiewicz ( BC Swiss Krono Žary )
Finn Gundel ( HAKRO Merlins Crailsheim )
Tadeáš Samuel Hlaváček ( BK Brandýs nad Labem )
Hubert Szymański ( SKM Zastal Zielona Góra )
Prince Fuh ( Academy Potsdam )
Top scorer of the tournament:
Tadeáš Samuel Hlaváček ( BK Brandýs nad Labem ) - 133 points (26.6 points per game)

Academy Potsdam wins the U12 home tournament

Academy Potsdam wins the U12 home tournament
But let's go in order. The first day of play begins with a duel between Academy Potsdam , which defeats BK VIVIDBOOKS Pardubice . The second match offered a Polish derby between SKM Zastal Zielona Góra and AK Orly Wroclaw . Zastal did not put up much resistance to the Orly and lost by more than thirty points. The first round closes with the team AK Stal Ostrów Wielkopolski , whose opponent was the South Bohemian team Sršni Písek . The Hornets had their stingers sharpened and in the first quarter they gain a double-digit lead, which they cherish and increase until the end of the match. Friday offered a dramatic game, where the main role was played by the home team and the Polish Zastal. The home team gained a solid lead immediately in the first quarter, guarding this lead for three quarters. In the last quarter, the home team seemed to run out of breath and drama was born. Despite Zastal's great efforts, the home team eventually managed to maintain their lead and win by seven points.
Saturday was full of dramatic matches. First, Potsdam played a huge battle with the team Sršni Písek . The match ultimately had to be decided in overtime, where Písek won with its best performance of the tournament by just four points. The home team apparently did not have enough basketball yet, so its second match of the day went into overtime, this time with the Polish team AK Orly Wroclaw . Another great match in this category, when Potsdam won in overtime for the second time. Another dramatic match was in the match between Písek and Zastal. Písek, apparently tired after the great performance against Potsdam, did not show everything from its repertoire and lost to the team SKM Zastal Zielona Góra . In the final accounts, thanks to this loss, Písek lost the bronze medals, even though they defeated the eventual winner of the Academy Potsdam tournament. The day closed with a match between AK Stal Ostrów Wielkopolski , whose opponent was Beksa from Pardubice. A very competitive match, where the atmosphere was unfortunately affected by a mistake by the scorer. On the other hand, the players on the field fight like lions and in the end Beksa is happy with the closest possible victory by one point and at the same time is happy with its first victory at the CEYBL tournaments in the U12 category. And that is really very happy, one could say that it was "cute" :-)
Sunday started with a match between Wrocław and Písek. A wonderful match of this category was decorated with great performances, great passes and difficult shots. Basketball that was a joy to watch. In the final match of the tournament, the home team went hard for their own and did not let anyone move that they would let their participation in the final tournament be taken away. AK Stal Ostrów Wielkopolski thus took away this euphoria of the home team with a heavy defeat.
Final tournament standings:
1. Academy Potsdam (Germany)
2. AK Orly Wroclaw (Poland)
3. SKM Zastal Zielona Góra (Poland)
4. Sršni Písek (Czech Republic)
5. BK VIVIDBOOKS Pardubice (Czech Republic)
6. AK Stal Ostrów Wielkopolski (Poland)
The following players received individual awards:
MVP:
Egon Engelien ( Academy Potsdam )
All-star team:
Jan Grudniewski ( AK Orly Wroclaw )
Mikołaj Maciąg ( SKM Zastal Zielona Góra )
Jan Šmíd ( Sršni Písek )
Nikolas Dominik Sokol ( BK VIVIDBOOKS Pardubice )
Samuel Fras ( AK Stal Ostrów Wielkopolski )

Egon Engelien ( Academy Potsdam ) - 98 points (24.5 points per game)

Academy NH Ostrava wins the U17 tournament
On Friday, only one round took place, in which Ostrava won at Science City Jena thanks to an improved performance in the second half. The home team played a very even game with the Polish team WKK Wroclaw . In the end, the home advantage worked and HAKRO Merlins Crailsheim won by a difference of four points, which was important for the overall ranking in the tournament and thanks to this win, the home team secured silver medals. The last game of the day offered the famous game of cat and mouse, where Ostrava plays the cat and the role of the mouse remains for the team BK Lokomotíva Sereď .
On Saturday, a dramatic match took place between the German team Jena and the Polish team WKK Wroclaw . WKK builds a slight lead from the start, Jena constantly argues, but does not find the strength to turn the match in its favor.

Basket 4kids Zielona Góra takes victory in the U15 tournament

Basket 4kids Zielona Góra takes victory in the U15 tournament
The tournament traditionally started with the home team playing against the German team Mitteldeutsche Basketball Academy . The Wolves entered the match very actively and in the first quarter they built a double-digit lead, which they maintained throughout the match, playing with enthusiasm and deservedly winning. The second match of this tournament offered a Polish-Slovak duel. The opponents were later medalists Basket 4kids Zielona Góra and BBA Komárno . Komárno entered the match better and scored a slight lead in the first quarter. In the further course, they stopped being successful in finishing, their self-confidence decreased and they eventually lost by a difference of fifteen points. The first round of the competition is closed by a duel between the teams Oberpfalz Hunters and UKS Piatka Ostrów Wielkopolski . A close match, which the Polish team did better and won by a difference of seven points. A nice match was offered by the duel between the home Wolves and the Polish 4kids. The Wolves kept up and were an even match throughout the first half. The decisive moments came in the third quarter, when the 4kids team built a double-digit lead that they held until the end of the game.
Saturday's program offered a big surprise in the match between the German Mitteldeutsche Basketball Academy and the Slovak BBA Komárno . Komárno was the clear favorite according to the previous matches. However, they did not manage to play their role and even thanks to the enthusiastic performance of the German team they lost by a difference of only one basket. A great match full of twists and turns and especially in a wonderful atmosphere.
Sunday's program offered a clear win for 4kids in the derby with UKS Piatka Ostrów Wielkopolski , confirming their triumph in the tournament. The last match of the tournament offered a real treat in the duel between the home team Vlci Žďár nad Sázavou and BBA Komárno.
Jednalo se o přímý souboj o medaile. "Karty byly rozdány jasně", v případě výhry domácího týmu, ten bere stříbro a Komárno je bez medaile, díky klopýtnutí s Mitteldeutsche Basketball Academy. Domácí tým měl situaci složitější, ten bere stříbro v případě výhry nebo prohry o 10 a méně bodů. Domácí tým před utkáním působil velmi koncentrovaně a sebevědomě.
Final tournament standings:
1. Basket 4kids Zielona Góra (Poland)
2. BBA Komárno (Slovakia)
3. Vlci Žďár nad Sázavou (Czech Republic)

BA Nymburk wins the U14 tournament at home

BA Nymburk wins the U14 tournament at home
Something that has not happened yet, at least not this season. The medalists and other teams in the standings are decided by the scores from the mutual matches of the three teams. The results of the individual matches bring us to this situation.
The tournament started with a match between the home team Nymburk and the French team Akdemie Grand Est . Nymburk started the game well, enjoying a four-point lead at half-time. In the second half, the French team took the initiative and eventually won by a comfortable sixteen-point margin. The second match was played by the Polish team MKS Ósemka Skierniewice , who came to the tournament as favorites to win, as they had only lost once this season and their opponent was the Czech team BCM Orli Prostějov . Ósemka confirmed their role as favorites in this match, building a lead from the beginning, which eventually climbed to fifteen points. The last match of the first round was a duel between the Austrian academy BBLZ - Reach the Top and AK Orly Wroclaw . The match was evenly matched throughout and gave the most indication of the further course of the tournament. In the end, the Austrian team BBLZ won a narrow three-point victory.
On Saturday, the most talked about match was the match between the home team BA Nymburk and MKS Ósemka Skierniewice . The match offered many emotions, unfortunately also negative ones, which the home team dealt with better and eventually won a big win by thirty-four points, which later turned out to be the decisive result for determining the ranking in the tournament.
Early Sunday morning, a game took place that was important for the medal positions. The main roles were played by the teams Akdemie Grand Est and MKS Ósemka Skierniewice . The first half was completely even and the players were nervous about the importance of the match. In the second half, the Polish favorite of the tournament turned on the higher gears and won by seven points. However, it could be said to be a Pyrrhic victory, since the heavy defeat by Nymburk and the loss of Nymburk to Grand Est condemned them to third place in the tournament. Nymburk still allowed themselves to gamble with their victory in the tournament in a duel with AK Orly Wroclaw . The match that closed the tournament program was no walk in the park for Nymburk. They had to fight hard for every ball and Wroclaw was a balanced opponent. In the end, Nymburk came out in control to win by nine points and win the gold medals.
Final tournament standings:
1. BA Nymburk (Czech Republic)
2. Akdemie Grand Est (France)
3. MKS Ósemka Skierniewice (Poland)
4. AK Orly Wroclaw (Poland)
5. BCM Orli Prostějov (Czech Republic)

UKS MOS Opole won the U15 tournament

UKS MOS Opole won the U15 tournament
The tournament was opened by the home team BK Teplice , who challenged the Polish team SKF Jura Basket Zabierzów . It was a pleasant start to the tournament for the home team, as they were already leading by a double-digit margin after the first quarter and were only increasing their lead. The home team certainly did not expect that this would be their last victory in the tournament. In the second match, MBK Karlovka Bratislava , apparently still tired after the long journey, was not enough for Jížní Supi . The first round of the competition ended with a match between the Polish team UKS MOS Opole and the second Bratislava team BSC Bratislava . Opole entered the match very actively and already led by a double-digit margin at half-time. The day was closed by a match between the later medalists from Opole and the Jížní Supi team. The Supi stayed within striking distance throughout the match, but they did not manage to "roll over" their opponents once and thus take the loss by more than 10 points.
Saturday offered mainly clear-cut matches, where the favorites won. The only match where there was a possibility of a surprise was between the teams Opole and Karlovka. Karlovka had a slight lead throughout the first half, losing an acceptable four points before the fourth quarter, but in the end lost by a single three-point shot.
On Sunday, the Slovak derby between BSC and Karlovka is certainly worth mentioning. The first half was completely even, with every ball being fought for. In the third quarter, BSC turned on the higher speed, which they maintained until the final whistle, winning by thirteen points, which guaranteed them the bronze medals.
Final tournament standings:
1. UKS MOS Opole (Poland)

Nitra Blue Wings Academy wins the U13 tournament

Nitra Blue Wings Academy wins the U13 tournament
The tournament started with a match between the teams Vlci Žďár nad Sázavou and Královští Sokoli Hradec Králové . The home team gained a slight lead from the beginning of the match, which it increased throughout the match and finally won by twenty-four points. The second match offered a Slovak derby, where paradoxically it was an early match for first place in the tournament, without either team suspecting it. The match between Nitra and Komárno offered a duel of defenses and a big fight for every meter of the board, Nitra coped better with this format, taking the victory by twelve points. The first round of the match is closed by a match between the teams Válečníci Děčín and Kangoo Basket Gorzów Wielkopolski , where the Válečníci won by a large margin.
The tournament offered many balanced and attractive matches. The highlight of the tournament was certainly the Friday match between Nitra and Válečníky, the Saturday match between Komárno and Válečníky, and the Vlci also thoroughly defeated Komárno, although they ultimately failed to win.
On Sunday, Komárno gambled with its medal position when it was surprised by the Polish Kangoo Basket Gorzów Wielkopolski . In the end, the results of the matches between the individual teams had to decide the second to fourth place.
