BBLZ Klosterneuburg dominated the first U19 tournament in Germany
The last category, which was still waiting for its first tournament, was the U19 juniors. They too have already seen it, and a very high-quality tournament took place in Jena, Germany, which brought many balanced matches.
Only 4 teams are officially registered in the U19 category, but in both tournaments the participants are always supplemented by one participant playing outside the competition. The German team Basketball Löwen Erfurt was at the tournament in Jena.
The tournament started already on Thursday evening with the duel between the two German teams on the Erfurt board. On Friday afternoon, the action moved to the hall in Jena, in which the home team beat BK VIVIDBOOKS Pardubice .
After that, 5 games followed, which ended with a difference of up to 5 points, and one of them was even decided by the second overtime. This only documents the composure of the entire tournament, which was highly praised by all the coaches.
However, there can only be one winner and that is the Austrian team BBLZ Klosterneuburg , who did not find a winner on Friday and Saturday. His only loss came on Sunday, when he was already assured of first place.
The silver remains at home to the players of Science City Jena , who in the end had the same record as the winners, but a worse head-to-head match. The third place again goes to the German team Basketball Löwen Erfurt , which for a change had the same record with the fourth BK VIVIDBOOKS Pardubice .
Diawin Košice from Slovakia remained winless at the tournament, but lost all their matches very narrowly.
