NINERS Chemnitz Academy wins U17 tournament
NINERS Chemnitz Academy wins U17 tournament
In the first match of the tournament, the younger home team (U16) AK Ostrów 1947 plays against another Polish team PGE Giek Turów Zgorzelec . The younger players of the home team fight very bravely in a balanced match with the more experienced players of Zgorzelec, but in the end it was not enough to win. In the second match, the Czech team Basketpoint Frýdek-Místek was not enough for the Polish team TS Wisla Jura Basket . The Polish team increased its lead in the score from the beginning, which eventually grew to twenty-four points. The last team to enter the tournament is the Czech team Jížní Supi , which plays a solid game with the eventual winner NINERS Chemnitz Academy . However, the Czech team is relatively far from winning. Chemnitz came closest to defeat in the tournament in the afternoon match with Zgorzelec. The Polish team fought, but in the end the strength of Chemnitz showed and they won by nine points. The day ends with a match between the team Jížní Supi and TS Wisla Jura Basket . At first, after the first quarter, it looked like a "debacle" for the Czech team, and halfway through the match, the Polish team still held a comfortable lead. The second half was a completely different "song" from the Czech team. The Supi feasted on the Polish team like a "vulture on a carcass" and eventually won by nine points.
On Saturday, Zgorzelec showed itself in a better light when it defeated another Polish team TS Wisla Jura Basket . Which again upsets our ranking in the tournament table. In the duel of Czech teams, Basketpoint "stepped on" Jižní Supi. Basketpoint fought, pushed, but in the end it was not enough to win. In the early evening, the home team also remembered itself, trying to torment the Czech team Jížní Supi . It succeeded in this for most of the match, but it met the same fate as Basketpoint, since the last quarter belongs to Jižní Supi.
On Sunday, Chemnitz confirmed their victory in the tournament with a win over Basketpoint. In the second match, the Southern Vultures confirmed their silver medal win also thanks to a win over Zgorzelec. In the last match, the home team fought for their first win in the tournament and were the better team for at least half of the match. However, in the second half, the more experienced players of the TS Wisla Jura Basket team showed themselves and they won by eight points.
Final tournament standings:
1. NINERS Chemnitz Academy (Germany)
2. Jížní Supi (Czech Republic)
3. TS Wisla Jura Basket (Poland)

GEN Gaz Energia Tarnovia Tarnowo Podgórne the winner of the U13 tournament
GEN Gaz Energia Tarnovia Tarnowo Podgórne the winner of the U13 tournament
In the first match of the tournament, the home team GEN Gaz Energia Tarnovia Tarnowo Podgórne challenged the Slovak team BSC Bratislava to a duel. And the Slovak team was the first to feel the energy with which the home team enters the tournament and loses relatively heavily. The second match offered a duel between the Polish teams UKS MOS Opole and SKM Zastal Zielona Góra . And the latter team took the reins of the match firmly into its own hands and in the middle of the match it was practically decided. The third match offered a duel between the Czech teams Academy NH Ostrava and Basket Poděbrady . Ostrava kept pace with the favorite from Poděbrady for three quarters of the match, but in the last quarter it ran out of breath and lost by a double-digit margin.
On Saturday, BSC had to fight hard for victory against Opole, which they eventually succeeded in. BSC "sells" the acquired experience in the afternoon program, where they quite unexpectedly defeat Zastal in a balanced match and thus properly shake up the tournament table. Zastal was apparently noticeably tired from the difficult match against Poděbrady in the morning program, which they also lose.
On Sunday, Ostrava defeats BSC. And thanks to that, the Slovak team lost the bronze medal. Ostrava goes home with a better feeling, because it completed the entire tournament with a truncated lineup and the win on the road certainly pleased it. Poděbrady comfortably confirms the silver medal with a win over the team from Opole. In the last match, the home team defeats Zastal at a leisurely pace and confirms the gold medal. Zastal wins the bronze medal thanks to a better score with the BSC and Academy Ostrava teams.
Final tournament standings:
1. GEN Gaz Energia Tarnovia Tarnowo Podgórne (Poland)
2. Basket Poděbrady (Czech Republic)
3. SKM Zastal Zielona Góra (Poland)
4. BSC Bratislava (Slovakia)

Oknoplast Inter-Bud Kraków wins the U12 tournament
Oknoplast Inter-Bud Kraków wins the U12 tournament
The opening match of the tournament was played by the home team Oknoplast Inter-Bud Kraków and its challenger is the Czech team Sršni Photomate Písek . Písek played a solid half of the match with the home team, but the third quarter was fatal for them, when the Czech team scored a single point and the fate of the match was practically decided. In the second match of the tournament, the first half was also balanced. Again, it was a Polish-Czech duel between the teams Polonia Varšava and Academy NH Ostrava . This time, however, it was the Czech team that had the better second half of the match and Ostrava gained a big victory. In the third match of the day, the Slovak team BSC Bratislava faced the Polish team BC Swiss Krono Žary . BSC did not enter the match in the best possible way and lost several points after the first quarter. However, halfway through the match, they were already leading by several points, but then a complete collapse followed. What else can you call a quarter without a point scored and Žary thus gained a decisive lead. BSC played a balanced match with Ostrava in the afternoon part of the program, but despite the improved performance it was not enough for victory.
On Saturday, Ostrava also "broke their teeth" at Žary, which is being led by their new reinforcement from Zielona Góra. Ostrava also played another tough match against Písek. The Hornets are stinging the "miners" as hard as they can and winning by ten points.
On Sunday, the "Hornet Swarm" will also drive BSC players around the field, confirming the silver medal win. A dramatic match took place between Žary and Polonia. Žary has a slight lead throughout the match and, thanks to a seven-point win, they are assured of winning the bronze medals. In the last match of the tournament, the home team did not give Ostrava a chance to think about winning and thus secured the gold medals.
Final tournament standings:
1. Oknoplast Inter-Bud Kraków (Poland)
2. Sršni Photomate Písek (Czech Republic)

BK VIVIDBOOKS Pardubice wins the U12 tournament
BK VIVIDBOOKS Pardubice wins the U12 tournament
Paradoxically, the "final" match took place right at the beginning of the tournament. The Czech team BK VIVIDBOOKS Pardubice meets the German team NINERS Chemnitz Academy . Chemnitz plays the role of a favorite in the first half of the match and gains a lead of several points. However, the second half of the match belonged to "Beksa", which increased the pace of its game and eventually won by six points. The second match saw a duel between two Polish teams, namely SKM Zastal Zielona Góra and WKK Wroclaw . Here, Zastal was more successful, although WKK did not give it anything for free. The last participants who are involved in the tournament are the Slovak team BK Inter Bratislava and the Polish team UKS MOS Opole . Here, Inter entered the match strongly, which also determined the subsequent course, when Opole tries to turn the match around, but the Slovak team is "firm in its grip" and thus wins the first win in the tournament. Later it turns out that this was also the last win of the Slovak team in the tournament.
On Saturday, we had the opportunity to watch most of the matches, where the differences in scores are quite large.
On Sunday, WKK defeats Opole, but even that is not enough for the medal positions. Chemnitz clearly confirms its position in the table in the match against Inter and wins by a large margin, thus confirming the winning of silver medals. In the last match of the tournament, "Beksa" defeats Zastal and wins gold medals. Zastal receives bronze medals for its performances.

ŠBK Galaxy Košice wins the U15 tournament
ŠBK Galaxy Košice wins the U15 tournament
In the first match, the home team Basketpoint Frýdek-Místek literally demolished the German team HAKRO Merlins Crailsheim . However, it must be said that the German team arrived at the tournament with a significantly weakened lineup. In the second match, which is played by two Polish teams - MKS Basket Szczawno Zdrój and Oknoplast Inter-Bud Kraków the latter is better. In the third quarter, Szcawno Zdrój took control of the match and won comfortably. The last match of the first round was played by the Czech team Slavoj BK Litoměřice and the Slovak team ŠBK Galaxy Košice . Litoměřice did not let the Slovak team breathe throughout the match and they had to fight for their lives. In the end, however, it was a victory for Košice by eleven points. Another match between Frýdek-Místek and the Polish team Szcawno Zdrój was also interesting. Basketpoint had a significantly worse first half of the game, but hid their strength in the second half and outscored their Polish opponent by nine points.
On Saturday, it was "fun" until the early evening. First, after an even game, Szcawno Zdrój surpassed Litoměřice by fourteen points. This was followed by an imaginary final of the tournament between the home team and the Slovak team from Košice. The home team loses slightly throughout the match, always pulling back by a few points, then making some minor mistakes and Košice rebounding again. The Slovak team eventually wins by ten points.
On Sunday, Litoměřice will beat the German team HAKRO Merlins Crailsheim . In the second match, the home team gambles with its position in the silver position, when after three quarters it holds a balanced score with Oknoplast. It finally manages the match and can rejoice in the silver medals. In the last match, Szcawno Zdrój keeps up with the team from Košice in the first half of the match. The decisive part is the third quarter, where Košice gains a twenty-point lead and is on its way to winning the tournament and winning the gold medals.

BC Uzhhorod wins U13 tournament
BC Uzhhorod wins U13 tournament
In the first match, the home team Oknoplast Inter-Bud Kraków fought with the Czech team BA Sparta Praha . The "Spartans" completely sleep through the first quarter and the home team uses it to gain a double-digit lead. The Spartans gradually wake up and after the third quarter they are in the lead for the first time. Finally, they win by three points in the final. In the second match, the Slovak team ŠBK Galaxy Košice easily wins over the Polish team Lublinianka KUL Basketball . In the third match of the day between the Austrian team Vienna Timberwolves and the Ukrainian team BC Uzhhorod , things got "tough". A huge duel of defenses, which the Ukrainian team ultimately managed better.
The most exciting match of the day was the first and last match on Saturday. The Spartans are a better prepared team on Saturday morning and anyone who hasn't seen the last minute of the match on video probably wouldn't believe it. The lead changed hands about four times in that minute. And anyone who wants to see how the winning basket was scored should watch the recording on YouTube. The incredible maturity of even thirteen-year-old players will surely amaze you. The disappointment of Košice was so "thick" that it could be sliced. In any case, a beautiful advertisement for mini-basketball. The day ends with the home team's match with Uzhhorod. The home team's best performance in the tournament, when more than half of the match is the better team. However, the Ukrainian team had a better second half of the match, where the home team broke through and won by ten points.
And Sparta again. This time, "lady luck" left them in the match with Vienna. The third even match with a balanced ending was managed by the Austrian team and won by three points. Sparta had to cheer for the Ukrainian team in the next match, because only their win would ensure them bronze medals. On the other hand, Košice want to win the match, because only a win would ensure them first place in the tournament. And we have here a match full of fight and emotions. And above all, quality youth basketball. The Ukrainian team entered the match vigorously and in the first quarter gained a double-digit lead. However, halfway through the match, it was tied. The Ukrainian team increased the pressure, got a slight lead and everything came to a heart-stopping end, where Uzhhorod defended the win by two points. This made Sparta happy and saddened Vienna. In the last match of the tournament, a peaceful atmosphere reigned and the home team won a comfortable victory over another Polish team Lublinianka KUL Basketball . But he also showed great basketball skills both in this game and throughout the tournament.
Final tournament standings:
1. BC Uzhhorod (Ukraine)
2. ŠBK Galaxy Košice (Slovakia)
3. BA Sparta Praha (Czech Republic)
4. Vienna Timberwolves (Austria)
5. Oknoplast Inter-Bud Kraków (Poland)

In the second match, the Czech team BK Brandýs nad Labem was losing in the score for three quarters, only to show an unprecedented turnaround in the last act over the Polish team SKM Zastal Zielona Góra and win by a single point. The last match of the first round also brought drama, when the German team Basketball Talents Potsdam led by a double-digit difference after three quarters over the Slovak team BSC Bratislava . What no one expected was that the German team would have a hard time defending its two-point lead in the final.
Saturday offered two duels, where the fight lasted until the last seconds. First, it was in the duel between Brandýs nad Labem and Potsdam. Here, in the end, the greater rotation of players of the German team, who regularly score, decided the game and Potsdam won by five points. In the second even match, Potsdam played one of the main roles, the other actor was the home team Weegree AZS Opole . Potsdam dominated the first half of the match. In the second half, the pressure of the home team increased, which point by point erased the lead of the German team. The pressure finally bore fruit in the end and the home team squeezed out a win by just one point.
On Sunday, the favorites for the medals confirm their positions. First, BSC defeats Brandýs nad Labem by a significant margin. In the first match of the tournament, the Czech team Fastav Zlín was not enough for the eventual winner SKM Zastal Zielona Góra . The second Czech team Start Havířov was no match for the German team Academy Potsdam and suffered a heavy defeat. The third match was played under Polish control, when Gromy Nowy Tomyśl team showed no mercy to the KS Korona 1919 RadwanSport Kraków team. Later it turned out that this match was a match for the silver medals.

On Sunday, Krakow had no problem overcoming Potsdam's resistance to confirm the bronze medal, and everything was actually decided in the first quarter. The second match of the day was a duel for gold medals between the Polish teams SKM Zastal Zielona Góra and Gromy Nowy Tomyśl . The latter team entered the match actively and gained a small lead, but seemed to be gradually losing its breath as it gradually lost its lead. Zastal took a slight lead in the middle of the match, which it subsequently increased in the third quarter. In the last quarter, Zastal maintained its lead and thus won the gold medals, while Tomyśl remains with the silver medals. KS Korona 1919 RadwanSport Kraków wins the U17 tournament
KS Korona 1919 RadwanSport Kraków wins the U17 tournament
The home team BKM Iskra Svit had a tough start to the tournament, losing both of its Friday games by a narrow margin. First, the German team Science City Jena stood in their way. In the first half of the game, the home team was in the lead. In the second half, the home team caught their breath a little and Jena equalized the score. In the dramatic ending, the home team had several opportunities to turn the game in their favor, but none of the shots were successful and the home team lost by three points. In the second game with the Polish team WKS Slask Wroclaw the course was a little different, the lead shifted from side to side and the game eventually went to overtime. The Polish team completely dominated it and the home team is still reeling from the disappointment of the first day. Slask played an even game with another Polish team Lublinianka KUL Basketball , where they literally squeezed out a win by five points. Lublinianka secured the win in another even game, this time with the Czech team BK Sojky Pelhřimov . The first half of the match belonged to the Czech team, but Lublinianka prepared better energy for the second half and won by thirteen points. The later winner of the tournament KS Korona 1919 RadwanSport Kraków dealt with Jena and Pehřimov on Friday, having already had a double-digit lead in both cases at halftime.
Saturday's program also started unusually sharply. The spectators barely open their eyes in the early morning and drink their first coffee, but the duel between Slask and Jena is already underway on the court. And the duel was great, Slask played an excellent three quarters, but Jena saved its best for the last act and won by three points. The home team improved their mood with good performances against Lublinianka and Pelhřimov and won two victories, which certainly infused new energy and self-confidence into the home players. Pelhřimov tormented the German team in their second game of the day, but it was again not enough to win. The highlight of the program was the last game of the day. Korona and Slask are showing really great and intense youth basketball, a real joy to watch. In the end, the team from Krakow takes the win.
On Sunday, the disappointed Lublin team loses to Jena, which confirms the silver medal win. In the second match, Slask wins over Pelhřimov by a fairly large margin, but the match still had a great charge and the Polish team had to expend a lot of energy to win the bronze medals. In the last match, "nothing was at stake". In the event of any result, the tournament ranking was already clearly given. However, there was energy on the field, as if it were playing for world gold. The energy was absolutely unreal, a great fight, which unfortunately was spoiled by several shoves and uncontrolled emotions in the end. However, this is sometimes part of sport, it is just necessary to maintain a certain cultivation of emotions. In any case, the facilities and functioning of the home club are the best invitation to the next tournament, which will take place here in February, this time in the U14 category.
Final tournament standings:
1. KS Korona 1919 RadwanSport Kraków (Poland)
2. Science City Jena (Germany)
3. WKS Slask Wroclaw (Poland)
4. BKM Iskra Svit (Slovakia)
