AK Orly Wroclaw wins the U12 tournament
AK Orly Wroclaw wins the U12 tournament
The tournament offered an unconventional schedule of matches due to the situation, so the home team did not play in the first match. The pair for the first match is made up of the Polish teams AK Orly Wroclaw and Polonia Varšava . The Orly enter the tournament in full force and do not give the team from the Polish capital any chance to think about winning. The second match offered a dramatic Slovak derby. The authors of this drama are the teams Strojár Malacky and BSC Bratislava . Malacky is significantly losing the entire first half of the match. During the half-time break, the coach apparently poured "holy water" on them in a meeting, because how else can we explain that a completely different team entered the game, which in the end squeezed out a win by two points. The fans saw the home team NEFROMEDICA UKS SP27 Katovice in the third match of the tournament. They challenged "Beks" or, more officially, the Czech team BK VIVIDBOOKS Pardubice to a duel. The home team entered the game well and built a double-digit lead, but Beska started to "ride" from the second quarter and galloped to victory by twenty-five points.
On Saturday, the home team scored three wins over BSC, Malacky and Warsaw. Beksa, who had a desire to win a medal position, won wins over Warsaw and Malacky, but the match with Orly did not go as expected. They lost this match, having been several points behind the Polish team from the beginning of the match and eventually losing by a difference of fifteen points.
On Sunday, Beksa first defeats BSC and confirms the silver medal. In the second match of the day between Malacky and Warsaw, a dramatic battle for fourth place took place, where it was decided only in overtime. The Slovak team won by a single point. The players were very happy about it. The tournament was closed by a battle between the home team and the teams from Wrocław, after the first quarter it seemed that the Eagles were clearly going for victory, gaining a double-digit lead. However, Katowice did not give up and at halftime the scoreboard showed a result with a difference of only one point. However, the second half was dominated by the AK Orly Wroclaw team, condemning the home team NEFROMEDICA UKS SP27 Katovice to the bronze medal. In the event of a home team win, the mini-table of three teams (Katowice, Wrocław and Pardubice) would have to decide and every point in the score would be decisive, but this did not happen and AK Orly Wroclaw won gold.
Final tournament standings:
1. AK Orly Wroclaw (Poland)
2. BK VIVIDBOOKS Pardubice (Czech Republic)
3. NEFROMEDICA UKS SP27 Katovice (Poland)

ŠBK Galaxy Košice wins the U15 tournament
In the opening match, the home team UKS MOS Opole did not play nice at all with another newcomer to our tournaments, the German academy VR Bank Würzburg Akademie. The home team literally swept the German academy by a margin of more than forty points. The second match offered a Czech derby between the teams Basketpoint Frýdek-Místek and Snakes Ostrava . These teams certainly know each other well due to their geographical proximity. In this match, the "snakes" slightly strangle Basketpoint's ambitions and thanks to this they win by a margin of eight points. In the last match, the teams ŠBK Galaxy Košice and AK Stal Ostrów Wielkopolski enter the tournament. Košice enter the match actively and score a small lead. Despite their great efforts, Stal loses the match by a margin of nine points. Basketpoint managed to win over the home team, even though it lost several points throughout the first half. An improved performance in the second half of the match brought them a win by only one point.

Basket Poděbrady wins the U13 tournament
Basket Poděbrady wins the U13 tournament
In the first match of the tournament, the home team WKK Wroclaw challenged the Ukrainian team BC Uzhhorod to a duel. WKK did not enter the match well and lost by a double-digit margin after the first quarter. They were unable to close the Ukrainian team's lead throughout the match and lost by a margin of twelve points. In the second match, the Slovak team ŠBK Galaxy Košice competed for victory with the Polish team PGE Giek Turów Zgorzelec . The Polish team, whose first team also played in the Euroleague in its most famous period, did not enter the match ideally and lost by a margin of ten points after the first quarter. They came within striking distance in the middle of the match, but that was all for them and the Slovak team won its first victory in the CEYBL tournaments. The third match offered very high-quality mini-scholarship basketball, in Czech style. The Central Bohemian team Basket Poděbrady played a close match with the Moravian-Silesian team Basketpoint Frýdek-Místek . This match offered a great basketball spectacle, where the team from Poděbrady ultimately performed better. As it turned out later, it was a duel for first place in the tournament. Basketpoint also played an exciting game in its second Friday match, this time against the Slovak team ŠBK Galaxy Košice . After a bad start and a balanced course, it won the victory with an improved performance in the last quarter.
On Saturday, WKK led Zgorelc by several points for three quarters, but they could not manage the end of the match and lost by a single basket. The Ukrainian team also wanted to make a difference in the medal standings, first playing an even match with Basketpoint, which only won in the last quarter. Then on Sunday morning, they had a direct match for bronze medals with the Slovak team ŠBK Galaxy Košice . After losing the first quarter, Uzhorod took the initiative and slowly and patiently closed the gap on the Slovak team. After the third quarter, Uzhorod got an eight-point lead, which they did not let go, and thus won the bronze medals. In the other matches on Sunday's program, Poděbrady confirmed their gold medal win over Zgorelc, and Basketpoint confirmed their silver medal win thanks to their win over the home team WKK.

BC Swiss Krono Žary wins U13 tournament
BC Swiss Krono Žary wins U13 tournament
The first match traditionally featured the home team BC Swiss Krono Žary and their first opponent in the tournament was the Austrian team Vienna Timberwolves . The home team slightly overslept entering the match and Vienna took the lead. However, from the beginning of the second quarter the home team switched to a higher gear and eventually won by a margin of less than twenty points. The next two matches offered a national derby, the first was the Polish one between the newcomer to the CEYBL tournaments, GEN Gaz Energia Tarnovia Tarnowo Podgórne team, and the traditional participant SKM Zastal Zielona Góra . Tarnovia Zastal did not spare any effort and won by a margin of more than thirty points. The third match was the Czech derby between the teams BK Lokomotiva Plzeň and BA Sparta Praha . Lokomotiva apparently took on "wet coals" because its performance did not burn with a bright flame, but even with thirty-eight points scored, it managed to win the match. Sparta scored only twenty-one points in the entire match. Tarnovia thoroughly tested the home club in the next match. In the end, it wasn't enough to win.
On Saturday before noon, Sparta literally squeezed out a win over Zastal by just one point. In the afternoon block, Tarnovia came to the fore again, outpacing Lokomotiv. The latter switched to a higher gear than on Friday, probably from steam to electric power, and "overtook" Tarnovia by just four points.
On Sunday, Lokomotiva, well-initiated, went to the match against the Vienna team to confirm their silver medal win. Tarnovia did not give Sparta a chance to think about trying to win bronze and won by a difference of twenty-two points. And finally, the home team confirmed their gold medal win with a win over Zastal.
Final tournament standings:
1. BC Swiss Krono Žary (Poland)
2. BK Lokomotiva Plzeň (Czech Republic)
3. GEN Gaz Energia Tarnovia Tarnowo Podgórne (Poland)

SKM defeated Zielona Góra as the unequivocal winner of the U14 tournament
SKM defeated Zielona Góra as the unequivocal winner of the U14 tournament
In the first match of the Friday program, SKM Zastal Zielona Góra challenged another Polish team Lublinianka KUL Basketball . Zastal already had a thirty-point lead at halftime and the fate of the match was practically decided. In the second match of the day, the Slovak team BKM Iskra Svit had to "swallow bitter pills", which in the first half of the match led by a double-digit difference several times over the German team Thuringia Select Team . In the second half, Svit lost its key players due to a large number of personal mistakes and the German team turned the match in its favor. In the last match of the first round, a newcomer to CEYBL tournaments entered the tournament, the team Start Havířov , which did not "match" at all with the traditional Slovak participant BK Inter Bratislava . Havířov "stabbed" Inter so intensely that at halftime they led by a forty-point difference, so obtaining the first win on the international stage in history was no longer a problem. The match between Lublin and Thuringia was also very interesting. Lublin lost several points after each quarter, but fought for its life. In the final, Lublin had the opportunity to make the last shot, but it was unsuccessful, and so the German team won the closest possible victory by a single point.
On Saturday, a very interesting match was played, and again the Polish team Lublinianka was there. They played a really interesting game with Inter. The lead changed from side to side, and in the end the Polish team won. The game was framed by great individual performances, when Inter player Adam Garaj scored 59 points for the opponent. But in the end, the team concept won, because the three players of Lublinianka, who have twenty or more points, were joined by a wider rotation that was able to score.
Sunday was also very exciting. First, Lublin played a balanced match with Svit, which in the end, despite the enthusiastic performance of the Slovak team, wins for itself and hopes and believes that Inter will help it win a medal with its performance. Inter entered the match actively and properly flooded the German academy for three quarters of this match. In the last quarter, Inter made several mistakes and the German team won the victory and thus the bronze medals. And the tournament ended with the final, as it should and should be. The match between Zastal and Havířov. Havířov has "start" in the team name and it did not work out at all in this match. Zastal gained a double-digit lead in the first quarter, which it then increased in the next match despite the great efforts of the Czech team. Havířov played a quality tournament and the silver medal is a pleasant reward and motivation for them to work in the future. Zastal left no one in doubt and is the deserved and dominant winner of this tournament.
It is also worth mentioning that we had the opportunity to watch the performances of Havířov's player Jakuba Jana Marka at the tournament, who has already completed a try-out at the Spanish club UCAM Murcia CB . It is nice to watch players who have a great future in world basketball at our tournaments. The excellent tournament performance of Inter player Adama Garaje, as he scored a total of 193 points in five games, which is an average of 38.6 points/game.
Final tournament standings:
1. SKM Zastal Zielona Góra (Poland)
2. Start Havířov (Czech Republic)
3. Thuringia Select Team (Germany)
4. Lublinianka KUL Basketball (Poland)
5. BK Inter Bratislava (Slovakia)
6. BKM Iskra Svit (Slovakia)
The following players received individual awards:
MVP:
Antoni Lenckosz ( SKM Zastal Zielona Góra )
All-star team:
Maxmilián Pospíšil ( Start Havířov )
Mika Wick ( Thuringia Select Team )
Mikołaj Mazurek ( Lublinianka KUL Basketball )
Adam Garaj ( BK Inter Bratislava )

Mitteldeutscher Basketball Academy wins U14 tournament
Mitteldeutscher Basketball Academy wins U14 tournament
The first match of the tournament on neutral ground in Brandýs nad Labem was played by the South Bohemian selection team JBN boys and the German team NINERS Chemnitz Academy . JBN built a small lead in the first part of the match, which they lost at the end of the third quarter. Chemnitz turned the lead over to its side in the last quarter and won by a difference of ten points. In the second match, the German team Mitteldeutscher Basketball Academy easily defeated the Czech team BCM Olomouc . The last match of the first round was a derby, both Polish and city, as the tournament draw pitted the teams AK Orly Wroclaw and Imopeksis Wilki Wrocław against each other. The traditional participant of our tournaments, AK Orly Wroclaw , fared better. A very interesting match took place at the beginning of the afternoon program, when the JBN boys team challenged Mitteldeutscher Basketball Academy team to a match. The later German winner of the tournament had great problems overcoming the resistance of the South Bohemian team, which stayed within striking distance throughout the match. In the end, he managed to win by a margin of six points.
On Saturday, both Czech teams will play balanced matches. First, Olomouc resisted Chemnitz, but unsuccessfully. In the afternoon, the Czech team's honor was saved by the JBN team, which managed to overpower the Polish team AK Orly Wroclaw in a balanced match after a disastrous start. There was also an imaginary final between Mitteldeutscher Basketball Academy and NINERS Chemnitz Academy teams. The first-named team had a few points lead throughout the match and turned it into a victory.
On Sunday, MBA and Chemnitz confirmed their medal ambitions by comfortably defeating their opponents from the Polish city of Wroclaw. The tournament concluded with a match between JBN boys and BCM Olomouc . This match was a direct battle for the bronze medals and was definitely worth watching. A total of 209 points were scored in the match, with basketball advertising framed by great individual performances on both sides. Olomouc showed a slightly "firmer" hand in the finals, with two of its players surpassing the thirty-point mark, while two of JBN's players surpassing the twenty-point mark. In any case, admirable performances on both sides of the board. With a 9-point win, Olomouc confirms its bronze medal win.

BK Inter Bratislava wins the U15 tournament
BK Inter Bratislava wins the U15 tournament
The tournament was opened by the home team Slavoj BK Litoměřice , who challenged the German team Science City Jena to a duel. Slavoj gained a double-digit lead in the first half of the match, which they calmly controlled until the end of the match. The second match of the day was very interesting, intense and very offensively oriented - a total of 220 points were scored, which is really unusual for this category. It was a Slovak derby between the teams BK Inter Bratislava and BSC Bratislava . The spectators must have really liked it, great commitment, great individual performances, great actions... excellent advertising for basketball. In the end, Inter did better and won its first victory in the tournament. In the last match of the day, Slavoj challenged the Polish team Oknoplast Inter-Bud Kraków . In the first half of the match, Slavoj was slightly losing and it took a lot of strength to get back into the game for victory. It managed to do this at the end of the third quarter, where it took the lead by just one point. However, Krakow came into the final act with more intensity and ultimately secured a victory by six points.
On Saturday, the home team decided to mix things up in the tournament. Slavoj "caught the Slovak team BSC Bratislava by surprise". The match was so fierce that blood was literally flowing. A doctor even had to intervene and sew up a torn eyebrow, it must be added that this clash was completely innocent. The stormy and relatively tough match was ultimately won by the home team Slavoj. Slavoj then played a relatively decent match with the future winner BK Inter Bratislava .
On Sunday, BSC atoned for its loss to Slavoj when, after a good performance, it defeated the Polish team Oknoplast Inter-Bud Kraków . Here, our favorite mini-table of three teams comes into play again, where Slavoj has the best record and wins silver medals, BSC takes bronze, leaving Krakow with the unpopular "potato medal". In the last match of the tournament, Inter defeats the German Jena and confirms the gold medals. Although Jena did not win any games in the tournament, it surprised with its basketball quality and performance, and one could say that their future is yet to come.
Final tournament standings:
1. BK Inter Bratislava (Slovakia)
2. Slavoj BK Litoměřice (Czech Republic)

NBA Jelenia Góra wins U16 tournament
NBA Jelenia Góra wins U16 tournament
The first match of the tournament offered an exciting duel between the home team BK Brandýs nad Labem and the Ukrainian team SCC Ploskyriv . Brandýs lost several points in the score throughout the match and eventually lost to the Ukrainian team by five points. In the second match, the Polish team NBA Jelenia Góra almost drove the Czech team Vlci Žďár nad Sázavou to the forests, where wolves usually live. The last match of the first round was the Slovak derby between the teams MBK Karlovka Bratislava and BK Pezinok . The team from the capital of Slovakia was more successful, determining the tone of the match in the first quarter, where they gained a double-digit lead. On Friday, another interesting match took place, when the home team Brandýs nad Labem tested the future winner of the NBA Jelenia Góra . Who would have expected any drama when the difference was almost twenty points at halftime. However, Brandýs decided not to give his skin away cheaply and finished powerfully, but he did not have enough time to turn the game around and so he lost by a margin of eight points.
Further dramas were offered only on Sunday morning, where Karlovka, who played a decent match with the NBA on Saturday afternoon, showed their best performance of the tournament and defeated the Ukrainian team SCC Ploskyriv . This match really messed up the table for us and the order in second to fourth place was decided by a mini-table of three teams. Brandýs performed best here, winning silver, bronze goes to Ukraine and the "potato medal" was left for Karlovka. The NBA Jelenia Góra won gold after a smooth win over the Slovak team BK Pezinok .

BC Swiss Krono Žary wins U15 tournament
BC Swiss Krono Žary wins U15 tournament
The home team BC Swiss Krono Žary faced the Austrian team Vienna Timberwolves in the first match of the tournament. Vienna surprised the home team with an active game and gained a small lead after the first quarter. The home team then took over and gained a solid lead in the rest of the match. In the last quarter, Vienna significantly reduced the home team's lead, but they could not find the strength to break the deadlock. In the second match, the German team Young Rasta Dragons practically decided the fate of the match with the Polish team Lublinianka KUL Basketball in the first quarter, when they created a double-digit lead. In the last match of the first round, the selected team of the Central Bohemian region CB Basketball played against the Polish team Jura Basket TS Wisła . A very even match, where the lead was flowing from side to side, was eventually won by the Czech team. CB Basketball was also in another even match on Friday's program, this time the Czech team was in the lead for three quarters over the Austrian team Vienna Timberwolves . In the end, however, they could not maintain their concentration in the last quarter and Vienna won a narrow victory.
Saturday offered only one even match, and that was in the first game of the day, and it was Vienna again. The Austrian team was pulling the "short end of the rope" for three quarters with the Polish team Lublinianka KUL Basketball . In the fourth quarter, they significantly increased the pace and took the game to overtime. In that, Vienna managed to turn the game around and win.
On Sunday, a balanced Polish match between Lublinianka KUL Basketball and Jura Basket TS Wisła was interesting. Lublinianka won this match mainly thanks to a wider rotation of scoring players. The tournament was closed by the home team, which allowed itself to gamble a little with its position in the table in a match with the CB Basketball team. A very balanced and fighting match, where in the end the home team managed to win by a difference of six points and thus confirmed the gold medals.

WKK Wroclaw wins the U15 tournament
WKK Wroclaw wins the U15 tournament
Although only five teams participated in the tournament, there was no shortage of drama. The quality of the tournament is certainly evidenced by the fact that three teams that participated in the final tournament last year are starting in this tournament. The home club and its volunteers created a pleasant environment for the tournament.
In the first match, the home team Basketball Talents Potsdam challenged the French team Akdemie Grand Est to a duel. The home team entered the match a little cautiously and the French opponent took full advantage of it when they gained a double-digit lead. They gradually increased this lead despite the strong resistance of the home team and thus took the victory by a higher margin. The Czech team Válečníci Děčín immediately showed in the first match that they did not come to Potsdam just for a trip, when they thoroughly destroyed the Polish team SKM Zastal Zielona Góra . The whole match was played in a balanced spirit, Děčín led by five points after the third quarter, but even that was not enough to win. Zastal turned on the high speed in the last quarter and finally defeated Děčín by a margin of eight points. The later winner WKK Wroclaw entered the tournament first with a win over the home team, then "sweated" a little more with the French team, which was an even opponent in the first half.
On Saturday morning, the home team played its best performance of the tournament against Děčín, but it was not enough to win, the Czech team is happy. The last match on Saturday offered a lot of drama. The French team challenged the Polish team Zastal to a duel. After the first quarter, the French team leads by seven points, after the second, the Polish team by twelve points, after the third quarter, the difference is only one point, a game like on a seesaw. In the end, after a great fight, the French team wins.
The French team Akdemie Grand Est had a lot of energy in the last match on Saturday, which the Czech team Válečníci Děčín took full advantage of on Sunday morning. Thanks to a wider rotation and high commitment, the Válečníci gained a valuable victory, which thoroughly mixed up the tournament standings. In the end, the second to fourth place in the tournament had to be decided by the scores from the mutual matches of the three teams. The final result was decided by the closest possible difference of a single point. In the final match of the tournament, Zastal tried to defy fate and mix up the tournament standings. However, WKK had a different opinion and entered the match vigorously in the first quarter and gained a fifteen-point lead. WKK maintained the lead, even slightly increasing it despite Zastal's great effort and emotional behavior, and thus deservedly takes the victory in the tournament.
Final tournament standings:
1. WKK Wroclaw (Poland)
2. Akdemie Grand Est (France)

4. Válečníci Děčín (Czech Republic)
5. Basketball Talents Potsdam (Germany)
