The first U17 tournament for Srsné Písek
The tournament started with a very dramatic match between the home team MŠK BK Žiar nad Hronom and the Polish opponent ORLEN Akademia BM Stal , which ended with the home team winning by a single point.
This duel seemed to foreshadow the quality and balanced matches that were to be seen in Slovakia.
The highest quality was shown by the Czech team Sršni Písek , who lost to BK Lokomotíva Sereď on Friday, but otherwise scored 4 significant wins and deservedly took first place.
Two Slovak teams competed in a direct battle for 2nd place. After three quarters of the match between MŠK BK Žiar nad Hronom and BK Lokomotíva Sereď , the guests were leading 56:47. Then, unfortunately, the match had to be interrupted due to the arrival of an ambulance for one of the home players. After an agreement between the coaches and the representative of the competition, the match was not finished, and later the management of the competition decided to recognize the result that was valid at the time of the interruption. BK Lokomotíva Sereď takes the silver and the bronze goes to the organizing team.
The fourth and fifth places were occupied by two Polish teams, when WKK Wroclaw was happy over ORLEN Akademia BM Stal in a match between themselves.
The last rung belongs to the Austrian team Vienna DC Timberwolves , who stepped on Wroclaw at the end of the tournament and thus took away their chance to fight for medals.

The last U17 tournament this year was dominated by the players of the Austrian BBLZ
The home club put two of its teams into the tournament, one in 2005 and the other in 2006. It was their mutual duel that started the entire tournament on Thursday. Unfortunately, both home teams were unlucky in the opening duel to injure their key players, which certainly affected their further results.
With a very well-composed team, the BBLZ - Reach the Top, v jehož středu byl i nejužitečnější hráč turnaje, který v tomto, stejně jako minulém turnaji, prokazoval velký útočný talent. In the end, the Austrians dominated the tournament without a single loss.
Stříbro remained at home in the team of the year 2005, which, despite the injuries of its main quarterback, managed to beat all opponents except the winners.
The bronze medals then travel to the Czech Republic when they are taken away by BA Grizzlies Plzeň players.
The fourth place goes to ADFORS Basket Litomyšl in the Czech Republic and the younger team of the organizing club finished fifth. The youngest team of the tournament, the Czech Sršni Písek.
Unfortunately, this tournament did not offer too many dramatic endings and only 3 matches ended with a difference of less than 10 points.
